This is one of those pieces that came together slowly - not rushed, just felt out. It’s part of my series The Space Between Us, where I’m exploring the emotional space between people… those quiet, loaded moments we all know but can’t always explain. I’ve used Sennelier oil sticks and oil paint on Fabriano Tela paper, working into the surface with layers of mark-making and tone. It’s figurative, but not fixed - there’s room for you to bring your own meaning.

I’m drawn to these soft edges and unfinished parts - they feel more honest somehow. Like connection itself, it’s rarely perfect, always shifting.
