Studio Journal: Entry One

Hello and welcome to my Studio Journal — a quiet corner to share what I’ve been making, thinking, and experimenting with in the studio.

2025’s already been full of movement. I’m deep into a body of work exploring intimacy and human connection, using oil, palette knives, and Sennelier sticks to loosen things up and bring more physicality into the way I paint. The “Space Between Us” series continues to grow, shifting in mood, colour, and form as I play with new techniques and push myself out of old habits.

There’s also been a lot happening outside the studio: community-led art projects I’ve helped to organise, collaborative exhibitions, and getting ready for this summer’s Art in the Heath trail in Kings Heath. I’m constantly navigating between being an artist and a creative director — wearing all the hats — but this journal is where I come back to just… be.
