Sleeping

An intimate moment, seen in the silence of sleep.

Sleeping is part of a new series of large-scale charcoal drawings by Emma Woolley. Created with Nitram compressed and willow charcoal, the work explores stillness and intimacy through the simplicity of tone and line.

Drawn from life and reference, this piece captures a fleeting private moment - one that would otherwise go unseen - revealing the tenderness found in ordinary quietness.
