Totem VI

Part of the Inner Worlds exhibition at Seventh Circle, Totem VI continues an evolving series of paintings exploring emotional drift, repetition and psychological space through painting.

The Totem series developed through repeated forms, layered surfaces and subtle shifts in expression that move beyond traditional portraiture. Rather than presenting fixed identities, the works explore changing emotional states and the unstable spaces that sit beneath the visible surface.

Created in Birmingham in 2026, the painting forms part of the wider Totem series by Emma Woolley.
